I am a professional technical translator specialising in French into English translations from a range of technical fields including chemistry, polymers, plastics, materials science and coatings technology.

With a degree level qualification in chemistry (University of Kent) and 9 years' experience as an industrial chemist working for one of the top international paint companies, I have a wealth of knowledge and expertise in the areas in which I now specialise as a translator.

Whilst working as a scientist I was also heavily involved in the writing of Health and Safety documentation and the drafting of laboratory operating procedures and risk assessments. As a result I understand the specialist terminology and the correct style and register needed for this type of text.

In addition, I have a Masters in Scientific, Technical and Medical Translation (Imperial College, London) and am an Associate of the Institute of Translation and Interpreting (ITI). Membership of this industry body means that I am bound by its code of conduct which ensures that you will receive a high quality, reliable and trustworthy service.
